Art is surely a gift of God and one of the most beautiful forms of expression. Blessed with this endowment is one such artist who needs no introduction. Beena Unnikrishnan daughter of T Rajendran nair and shobana was born in 1969 in a small town called Kollam in Kerala. Her interest in painting started as a kid and showcase of her talents was limited to her practical books and sketch Books.

Her passion for painting immerged and grew with each passing day. She began to develop her painting more seriously after1990 after she got married with Col Unnikrishnan an Officer in armed forces .Her extensive traveling along with him all over India and her passion for arts always got her in touch some people in the world whom we meet in a lifetime and they unknowingly leave an everlasting impression on our minds with their amazing, extraordinary creative abilities.
 

Beena started to admire and move towards the figurative art when most of the art world was in favor of the abstract works. She is basically a self-taught artist She started her painting career by reproducing famous artist works.

Such a Background groomed her as a incredibly versatile human kind . Beena’s repertoire of work is multifaceted as well as multidimensional in terms of medium. She believes that the material of expression is not an issue of importance but always brings a unique and fresh perspective to her artwork.
